Sant'Eligio Relais
Uniqueness. In Ostuni.
Situated on the “via della Procaccia”, Hotel Sant’Eligio has always been a strategic residence between the fortified walls of the ‘White City’, and the green plain of secular olive trees dominating the city. It was commissioned by queen Bona Sforza d’Aragona (mid16th century), with the aim to create a post office (called ‘Camposada’) that could link Otranto with Naples.
This strategic location, along with the exclusive excellence of our restaurant, and the facilities provided by our hotel make our residence an exclusive location in the heart of Ostuni, the ‘White City’.
The hotel consists of 22 rooms with panoramic views. All designed to respect the traditional style of an Apulian, authentic home, but yet with the most refined services of a traditional four-starts hotel. The common areas – a courtyard, and panoramic terraces – provide unique, elegant spaces where relaxing, conversing, and appreciating the nature, architecture, and culture of a rare dimension: the one of Ostuni and Puglia.
Not by chance, there is a Latin, ancient inscription saying: “QUISQUIS HUC VENIT HUC REDIET”, and meaning “Those who come here, will once come back”.
